Black and gray realism uses a single pigment, diluted into dozens of gray tones, to recreate what a camera sees — skin, stone, fabric, light. It demands clean technique: shading that stays smooth over curved muscle, highlights placed where they survive healing, and compositions that stay readable for decades. Fabio has spent more than 20 years refining that craft, first in Brazil and now in San Diego, where he founded Bay Ink Tattoo.
